Stylist reviews Mylash

Image
Mylash is offering a consultations for individuals that wish to grow their eyelashes longer, thicker and darker. Anyone who has heard of Latisse UK  – the revolutionary lash lengthener that’s only available on prescription will also know its incredibly hard to get a hold of outside the US. Not any more….  Down some narrow steps at the back of a make up salon on a quiet backstreet in Londons’ Knightbridge, lash expert Sue Marsh is now organising Mylash, an identical substance to Latisse with exactly the same active ingredient – bimatoprost, which works by stimulating prostaglanding receptors in hair and increasing the follicle activity – and exactly the same results.  Complete the online consultation and, if suitable, you will receive treatment in the post. Stylist tip: manufacturers say you need to apply it every day, but once you’ve established full growth (about three months), you only need to use it every three days to keep lashes lush. LASH OUT

Image
If you’ve got it, float it Lush lashes were all over the spring/summer catwalks: from the extravagant 60’s eyes at Moschino to feathered, lace-print numbers at Chanel. Get the jump on next season’s eyes by preparing your lashes now. Latisse may take three months to work, but work it does: originally developed to treat glaucoma, this drug happened to have the pleasing side effect of making lashes twice as long and thick : it’s our desert-island essential. Apply it like liquid liner every night and in time you could have a set to beat the Moschino girls. Curlers won’t cut it on long lashes so try a chemical uplift treatment like Nouveau Beauty Group’s LVL Lashes, the modern alternative to perming. Lashes are treated with a gentle formula and lifted upwards on tiny rods; 30 minutes later you’ve got a freshly curled look that stays in place for two months. Perfect for beach holidays, it nixes the need for mascara, so your poolside make-up will stay pristine. Written by: Christine Curtis P...

Financial Times - Luscious lashes

Image
FINANCIAL TIMES – OCTOBER 2022 THE BEST MASCARAS FOR LUSCIOUS LASHES Rebecca Newman of the Financial Times wrote the following article for the beauty section on the 18th October 2022. Our good friend Sue Marsh, rightly named as the Lash Queen, was quoted for her expert knowledge on the subject. Beyoncé likes mink ones. Marilyn Monroe’s sold for $8,960, and Madonna’s got some that are studded with diamonds. False eyelashes have long been a shortcut to superstar impact. But these days, clinically backed growth serums, lash lifts and innovations in technology offer impactful ways to make your homegrown flutter more fantastic. … Current market leaders include Latisse and RevitaLash , which has sold 12 million tubes of its Advanced Eyelash Conditioner (from £89). Its fans include Kim Kardashian and the Duchess of Sussex (who said that RevitaLash makes her eyelashes “as long as they could ever be”). This September saw the launch of a sensitive version: RevitaLash A...

American Vogue Elisabeth TNT gives up eyelash extensions and revamps her holiday beauty look. When the dernier cry at the Vogue offices last year was a pair of long, fluttery lashes, I promptly made a visit to i-Plaza, an unassuming downtown salon where the meticulous Yoshi worked his magic. An hour later, I opened my eyes to the Jessica Rabbit gaze of my dreams. I was instantly addicted. But intervention came by way of an allergic reaction to the lash glue after a top-up in Paris during Fashion Week turned my eyes red, itchy, and swollen. Sue Marsh, who runs a tiny lash atelier back home in London, recommended an “eyelash lift”— an increasingly popular alternative to extensions— to take the edge off. It worked. The gentle perming gel-and-tint treatment that bends hairs at the root, pushing them up rather than down, gave me eye-opening lashes for weeks— no maintenance necessary. The best part? They were all mine. With added help from treatment serums, like the polypeptide-p...

Vogue magazine talks Latisse

Vogue How to properly grow out your eyebrows First off, don’t feel bad. Over-zealous plucking and waxing, either by you or your beautician is based on the best of intentions. We know. Like too much make-up, it’s intuitive to actually do more to get better results. Doing absolutely nothing and expecting to wake up a young Brooke Shields or a Restoin-Roitfeld feels wrong, but if you want the virgin brows of your youth back there’s a few simple rules, and a good way to go about it. Let’s start with step one: Stop. tweezing. Or waxing, or threading etc…If you want to see this through you’ll have to inject a little laissez-faire into your brow routine. Get used to it. Wait it out This is not a one-week operation. It can take at least several months for the full hair growth cycle of your eyebrow hairs to complete itself, so hold out. For as long as you can, or at least until three months. At most, this can take half a year. Stray area Make peace with the fact that you...

Company Magazine recommends Mylash

Image
Company Magazine Like any girl, I want my lashes to be longer and thicker. I’ve tried lash-boosters, and they do make a difference, but I want more. So I’m turning to the hard stuff and road-testing a lash growing service that’s just become available in the UK.  Mylash  offers consultation and treatment from UK doctors for eyelash growth. Independent clinical studies by the US government found it made lashes 25% longer, 106% thicker and 18% darker (I know, wow!) My treatment comes like eye drops with teeny applicators that you use to paint the product onto your lashline every night. I’m only three weeks in to my treatment but I’m already noticing they’re thicker and, having seen the lashes of someone who’s been using a treatment for 6 months (a-MAZING), I’m applying my treatment religiously!  A must have treatment! Marie Claire discusses Latisse for incredible Lashes

Image
Marie Claire 5 Fool-Proof Steps to Incredible Lashes We might be witnessing bare lashes on the catwalk but in the world I’m sure most women will agree that lashes are a big deal. I, for one, can leave the house sans foundation but you won’t catch me in public without a lick of mascara. No sir. But there’s more to Bambi-like mesmeric lashes than a perfunctory slick of the black stuff. Follow these seemingly simple steps and you’ll be amazed at the difference. STEP1. Give ‘em a Curl Most make-up artists won’t even think of touching the mascara wand without curling the lashes first. Straight lashes can look shorter than they actually are which is something that many Asian women struggle with. My favourite lash curler has to be Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, £20. It gives a natural curve to the lashes without leaving a kink in the hair, it doesn’t pinch your skin and the curl lasts. You can always opt for a slight more long-lasting solution. Blink Ultimate Lash Curl, £50, las...

Cosmopolitan praise for Mylash

Image
Cosmopolitan Beauty trends With a combined 22 years in the beauty business, we’ve tried more than our fair share of lotions and potions. But when one of us ‘fessed up to using the same eyeliner every day for three years, we realised we all use an amazing number of the same products over and over again, despite a mountain of new stuff hitting our desks week. Why? Because they work really well. Cue furious list-writing of all our life changing products and most-used beauty tricks. We couldn’t bear to keep them to ourselves, so here’s a little insight into what goes on in our bathrooms. Number 15 I’ve been using a treatment from  Mylash  for a couple of months now. It’s a lash growth treatment that was prescribed for me. A bit pricey at £200, but it’s already really extended my lashes – even my friends have noticed a difference.  Cassie Cosmopolitan Beauty Bible 2014 Written by: Cassie Powney , Ingebord Van Lotringen and Kate Turner – Beauty w...

Fancy a flutter? We love longer lashes because they instantly give us bigger, sexier eyes. The latest lash enhancing treatments and conditioning mascaras give a simple way to add drama and impact. There’s a grow-your-own revolution in the US – and it’s got nothing to do with gardening. Women looking for longer, fuller, darker eyelashes are no longer opting for false lashes or extensions, but are turning to a prescription service which could spell the end of these – and standard mascara, too. MyLash, has many high-profile devotees, including London lash queen Sue Marsh. Sue, who counts Elle Macpherson, Patsy Kensit, Trinny Woodall and Amanda Holden among her clients, specialises in couture eyelash extensions, but she says she has long sought a more permanent alternative. “I have to admit that extensions can, in the long term, damage your lashes, so I needed to find a way to strengthen, lengthen and thicken my clients’ lashes without them,” says Sue. The American Fo...
